School Lab is competition for secondary school students in presenting scientific topics.
British Council, in cooperation with the Education and Teacher Training Agency and the Croatian Academic and Research Network CARNet, has started a competition for secondary school students in presenting scientific topics covered in the curriculum. The format of the competition was taken from the popular and successful FameLab that made Croatian students and scientists famous at the FameLab International in the United Kingdom.
The competitors should present their topic in a short, clear and interesting way in accordance with their age. Videos of the presentations are submitted for the competition and the best ten presentations (by vote of the expert jury and visitors of the school portal) will participate in the finals where the winner will be chosen.
The finals will take place on
24 March 2011 at 2 p.m. at Institut za fiziku in Zagreb. More information about the competition is available at the
School Portal.
The aim of this competition is to encourage students and teachers to take a creative approach to studying and presenting science and technology and also to popularise science and technology among students, parents and general public.
