Lemon scented plants

There are other plants with the pleasant and aromatic lemon scent, like lemon balm, catnip, lemon scented verbena and lemon grass. They can be used for making tasty and refreshing warm or cold beverages.
Lemon balm is known as the plant excellent for “comforting the heart" because it is believed it helps relieve melancholy and sadness. Balm tea will also help relieve insomnia, depression, flu, bronchitis, uneasiness and so on.
Catnip has a scent similar to the balm. Today it is most used in perfumes. Its leaves contain vitamin C, so they help relieve cold and flu, but also higher body temperature, uneasiness, headache, stomach ache and so on.
In the past, lemon scented verbena was used as a scent in soaps and scented pads. Its leaves need to be used sparingly because they have a rather strong taste. Lemon scented verbena tea helps relieve depression, insomnia, strong heart beat, bronchitis, flatulence and so on.
Lemon grass comes from the tropics, and the refreshing tea made of this plant helps to calm the nerves, helps with liver and gall diseases, digestion problems and stomach ache.
