Lemon in Japanese animation

Anime is the animation style typical for Japan, recognizable for vivid illustrations and stylized characters with big, round eyes. Anime is often influenced by Japanese comics of the same style, called manga. The lemon sign next to the animated film or comic in Japan is a warning meaning that it contains graphic sex or erotica, and lemon is also used in this country to indicate fan fiction literature of sexually explicit content.
