“Circus” lemonade
Pink lemonade is a popular drink in North America, prepared from adding grenadine syrup or sugar-beet to lemon juice. Such a drink differs from regular lemonade by colour only, because it takes very little additives to change its colour, but the flavour is not affected. In the US, where such a drink was often sold in circuses, there is a nicely spread urban legend saying that pink lemonade was made of water in which the clowns washed their makeup off!
