Lemon as winter food
In the traditional Greek cuisine, the lemons are also prepared for the winter. For this you need lemons, olive oil, water and salt. Wash lemons well, slightly cut it on four sides (not all the way through, just partially, so they resemble a flower), salt it well and close it back. Place a layer of lemons in a jar, pour three spoons of olive oil over it. Repeat. At the end, pour hot water over everything, close well and leave in a cold place to rest for six weeks (not in the refrigerator). Lemons prepared in this way can be stored for up to 18 months. It is excellent for dishes that require lemon as an addition. Rinse it with cold water before consummation.
