The premiums collected by the 28 insurance companies operating in Serbia rose 1.4% to a combined 57.3 billion dinars ($673 million/511 million euro) in 2011, central bank data showed.
Non-life premiums accounted for 82.6% of the total premiums, while the share of life premiums rose from 16.5% in 2010 to 17.4% in 2011, the National Bank of Serbia said in a report issued on Wednesday.
