Public debt increase by 13.2% last year

According to data provided by the Croatian National Bank (CNB), state debt totalled almost €21 billion at the end of the last year, 13.2% up over 2010. Internal debt, which comprises 66% of the total, stood at €13.6 billion, 15.9% more compared with the end of 2010. Foreign debt increased by 8.3%. The largest increase was contributed by bonds issued on the local market, totalling €0.98 billion, while €0.71 billion were placed on the foreign market.
