Greece’s Alpha Bank 2011 Pre-tax Loss in Serbia Widens Sharply

Greece's Alpha Bank said its pre-tax loss from Serbian operations widened by 444.5% on the year to 9.7 million euro ($12.7 million) in 2011. Its operating income in Serbia fell by 15% to 45.2 million euro, while operating expenses declined 8.9% to 44 million euro in 2011, Alpha Bank said in its 2011 financial report issued on Friday.
