Romania's Transelectrica Q1 Net Profit Drops 73% Y/Y

Romanian power grid operator Transelectrica [BSE:TEL] said on Monday its first-quarter net profit dropped to 43.6 million lei ($12.6 million/9.8 million euro) from 160.9 million lei a year ago.

The company's turnover rose to 884.2 million lei in the first three months of 2012 from 750.8 million a year earlier, according to its first-quarter income statement.
