Serbian Banks' Total Net Assets Up 4.6% in 2011

The total net assets of Serbia's 33 lenders rose 4.6% to 2,649.9 billion dinars ($29.6 billion/23.2 billion euro) at the end of 2011, the country's central bank said. The country's banking sector includes 21 foreign-owned banks and eight lenders where the state is either the majority or the biggest shareholder, the National Bank of Serbia said in a quarterly report issued on Monday.
