Macedonia’s Mermeren Kombinat Prilep Turns to Q1 Loss

Macedonian marble producer Mermeren Kombinat Prilep said it turned to a net loss of 18.6 million denars ($386,800/301,715 euro) in the first quarter of 2012 from a net profit of 79.9 million denars a year earlier.

Sales revenue nearly halved to 89.6 million denars in the first quarter from 167.8 million denars a year ago, Mermeren Kombinat said in its income statement sent to the Macedonian Securities and Exchange Commission.
