EBRD Lends 55.5 Mln Lei (12.4 Mln Euro) for Water Supply Project in Romania's Galati County

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it is lending 55.5 million lei ($15.6 million/12.4 million euro) to the Apa Canal water supply company in the southeastern Galati county.

The loan will co-fund an EU-approved investment programme of 555.7 million lei to improve the quality of existing water services in Galati, the bank said in a statement.
