Hungarian state-owned company Magyar Villamos Muvek (MVM) is interested in participating in all activities related to the development of a liquefied natural gas terminal on the Adriatic island of Krk, the Croatian economy ministry said.

The Hungarian government is also interested in future cooperation between MVM and Croatian state-owned power utility group HEP in the fields of cross-border energy market linkups and the use of renewable energy sources, especially wind power, the ministry said in a statement after a meeting in Zagreb on Wednesday between Croatian economy minister Radimir Cacic and Hungarian minister of state for climate change and energy Pal Kovacs.
