Romanian retail chain Profi Rom Food said on Tuesday it will open two new stores this week extending its network in the country to 120 outlets. The stores, which will be opened on Wednesday in the northwestern city of Cluj and the western city of Timisoara, have a retail area of 375 square metres and 182 square metres, respectively, the company said in a statement.
Polish Enterprise Fund VI (PEF VI), a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors, acquired 100% of Profi Rom Food in March 2010. Last year, PEF VI said it was investing 10 million euro ($12.5 million) in Profi Rom Food to expand its store network.
