Macedonian Confectionery Maker Evropa Q1 Net Profit Rises 49% Y/Y

Macedonian confectionery maker Evropa said its net profit rose to 695,000 denars ($14,090/11,270 euro) in the first quarter of 2012 from 465,000 denars a year earlier.

Sales revenue fell 2.0% on the year to 165.2 million denars in the first quarter, while its operating profit increased to 1.5 million denars from 903,000 denars, Evropa said in its income statement sent to the Macedonian Securities and Exchange Commission.
