The International Finance Corporation (IFC) said on Friday it is providing a 70 million euro ($88 million) loan to the Serbian unit of French banking group Societe Generale to increase access to finance for Serbian agribusinesses, supporting economic growth, employment and exports.
The loan is part of IFC’s strategy to strengthen the region’s banking sector and support the country’s economic recovery by boosting lending to the agribusiness sector, the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, said in a press release.
