Moldovan Banks' End-May Total Assets Edge up 0.8% M/M

The Moldovan banks' total assets amounted to 51.82 billion lei ($4.23 billion/3.38 billion euro) at the end of May, 0.8% higher from the previous month, the central bank said on Wednesday.

The tier-one capital of the banks, which includes common stock and retained profit, totalled 6.93 billion lei at the end of May, down 2.5% on the month, central bank data indicated.
