Three Bulgarian municipalities get 48 mln euro total in infrastructure grants

The Bulgarian municipalities of Aksakovo, Cherven Bryag and Novi Pazar have signed with the country’s environment ministry agreements on grant funding for infrastructure projects totalling 94 million levs ($58.8 million/48.1 million euro), the ministry said on Tuesday.

Cherven Bryag and Novi Pazar are getting 25 million levs and 37 million levs, respectively, for the construction and upgrade of water supply and sewerage systems, while Aksakovo is granted 32 million levs for a regional waste management system, the ministry said in a press release.
