Macedonia’s Alkaloid H1 cons net profit falls 3.0% y/y

Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said its consolidated net profit fell to 291.1 million denars ($5.8 million/4.7 million euro) in the first half of 2012 from 299.1 million denars a year ago.

Sales revenues rose by 2.0% on the year to 3.3 billion denars in the first half, while operating profit decreased to 338.8 million denars from 348.6 million denars a year earlier, Alkaloid said in a filing with the Macedonian Stock Exchange on Friday.
