Bucharest stock indices end mixed, unaffected by referendum

Romanian stock indices ended mixed on Monday in lower turnover, unaffected by the outcome of Sunday's presidential impeachment referendum, bourse data showed.

Romania’s suspended president Traian Basescu survived the impeachment referendum thanks to low turnout. Preliminary data from the central electoral bureau on Monday showed that voter turnout was 46.23%. It had to be more than half of all eligible voters for the referendum to be declared valid...
