Bulgaria's 2012 apricot harvest rises 35% y/y to 16,100 t

Bulgaria has harvested 16,118 tonnes of apricots this year, up from 11,931 tonnes a year earlier, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday.

The average yield per hectare stood at 5.16 tonnes, the ministry said in a statement. In 2011, the average yield was 5.15 tonnes per hectare.
