Macedonia’s UNIBanka H1 net profit edges down 0.5%

Macedonia's Univerzalna Investiciona Banka (UNIBanka) said its net profit edged down to 33.524 million denars ($672,940/545,080 euro) in the first half of 2012 from 33.677 million denars a year earlier.

The bank’s net interest income rose by 8.0% on the year to 210.8 million denars in the first half, while net fee and provision income decreased by 2.0% to 64.0 million denars, UNIBanka said in a statement sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
