OTP Banka Hrvatska after-tax profit up 8.0% in H1

Hungarian financial services group OTP said on Friday the after-tax profit of its Croatian unit, OTP Banka Hrvatska, rose 8.0% to 1.0 billion Hungarian forints ($4.4 million/3.6 million euro) in the first half of 2012.

The upside was due to the joint impact of favourable operating income and significant provisioning, the Hungarian group said in its half-yearly report.
