Serbia plans to introduce a public tendering procedure for the award of permits for renewable energy projects, the country's energy minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Monday.
The energy ministry will compile a rulebook that, in addition to setting in place the tendering format, will set a timeframe for the full or at least partial completion of a renewables project in a bid to discontinue the current practice of repeated permit extensions while no construction work is being done, Mihajlovic was quoted as saying on the government's website.
