The total premiums collected by the 28 insurance companies operating in Serbia rose 6.2% on the year to a combined 32.5 billion dinars ($347 million/278 million euro) in the first half of 2012, central bank data showed.
Non-life premiums accounted for 83% of total premiums through June, while the share of life premiums rose to 17% from 15.4% a year earlier, the National Bank of Serbia said in a report issued on Friday.
