The situation in BH is worsening, citizens are unsatisfied with their lives, and do not trust politicians, it has been indicated in a survey by Gallup Balkan Monitor. Its conclusions were presented in Sarajevo yesterday at a roundtable discussion dedicated to visa liberalization.
Nevertheless, citizens have kept positive expectations from the EU (66 per cent). Support to membership in the Union is biggest among Bosniacs (77 per cent) and smallest among Serbs in BH (48 per cent). However, only 13 per cent of citizens think the country is developing well, which means they are second to most pessimistic about the country’s future in the region, after Croats who mainly think the country is going in the wrong direction (84 per cent).
60 per cent in Federation and 34 per cent in Republika Srpska blame the government for the fact that they still need visas to travel to the EU. It is believed that BH should not expect the next report about its progress in meeting Visa Liberalization Roadmap conditions before late May.
